HOPE- the propelling force

Hope is a ray of light in the dark den;
Its the wings to a feetless bird;
Its the best weapon in a warrior's armour;
And a noble thing in an intellectual's mind.

Hope is a leaf to an ant in river,
Which is a ferry during floods;
Its a pole star to a sailor,
Which shows the destiny when the path is lost.

Hope is a spring that pushes when we are stopped;
And the propelling force when we are on march.
Its the twilight that fiils sky before the moonlight.
And the preface to a success story.

Hope sees me through the winter and summer;
Its a guide in desert and dense forest;
It gives me company when everyone denies it;
Yet it never hope for my single penny.

Top 5 :- Movies

After wasting tons of my time on facebook using some nonsense applications, finally I managed to make some time for this. This is the list of my favorite movie.

A Beautiful Mind - This is probably only movie in the world for which Rajiv masand would give a 5 star. Amazing acting by Russell Crowe and Ed Harris. Whats more starling is that its based on a true story. Although I like all of the Ron Howard movies this one is a masterpiece. Music is as good as it can be.

The Departed - I hate multi starers , this one is not like one of those typical multi starter films in which some actors are shown just because they dont want to be seen as supporting actors. This movie has more twists and turns than a F1 track quite literally, and ofcourse its famous for the use of the word "f**k". Matt Damon standouts with amazing acting. If Jack Nicholson had to describe this movie he would say -"Fu*king Good Movie".

Forrest Gump - "When I got tired, I slept. When I got hungry, I ate. When I had to go, you know, I went" its as simple as that. Being a big fan of Tom Hanks all I can say is, this is his best. Every single dialogue in the movie is memorable. I hope one day my luck will run like Gump's.

Million Dollar Baby - Its a movie where the heroine is not there just to show her skin. Powerful acting by Freeman, Clint and Hillary Swank. One wonders how a 80 year old boy still continues to act and direct movie like this. Swank is impressive in this. It truly deserves its multiple oscars.

Batman Begins - I have never seen a Batman cartoon, I always hated him because he didn't have any of those fancy super powers, only thing he has is money. The movie changed my perception. Bruce wayne and Gotham city were fantastic. Christopher Nolan is a class act all his movies are real good, had a hard time choosing between dark night, memento and prestige.

Films sadly I couldn't select Godfather, pirates and bourne triolygy, all other Tom Hanks movies. Hindi movie like Satya and Gulaal.

Noble Prize deserved MAHATHA...

My inspiration to write this after a very long time is Yasser Arafat. I was really surprised to learn that Mr Yasser is a noble laureate, and of all the category he has been awarded noble for contribution to world peace!! What I dont understand is, a man who headed one of the worlds most ruthless terrorist organization, how on earth can he win a noble prize for peace?! The reason given for this selection was that he 'brokered' a peace deal with Isreal in an agreement. I agree that some of his decisions were path breaking but what about that brutal killings undertaken by PLO in the past, doesn't it count for much??

This brings us to the obvious question 'why was M.K Gandhi denied the Noble?'. He was the global ambassador for peace, I cant think of any human being who devoted his life for non violence. Although he was nominated five times, the Noble committee members never found him worth of giving this award. I visited the official website of the awards and they were brave enough to write about their mistakes. In one of their article they have explained the possible reason for this miss. I was really surprised by reading those reasons. In the early part of the 19th century Europeans considered Indians 'worth for nothing!'(It hasn't changed much). If they had given him the price they would have taken on the mighty British empire, they obviously didn't want to commit this foolishness. Another possible reason given was that he did his work for his own country not for the world!! Most ridiculous of all is in 1947, he wasn't awarded because he was not against the 'setting up of armed forces for independent India'! Without the military force how will a country function?!

Nevertheless he was almost certain to receive it in 1948, but unfortunately he was killed two days before the nomination! Serious consideration were made to give it posthumous for the first time, but later it was dismissed. If one see's the list of people who have wont it, he will definitely feel the absence of the great Mahatma. More than Gandhi deserving Noble, it was the Noble peace prize which deserved Mahatma Gandhi.

RAIN & MY LIFE

Its raining in the sky;
Its raining in my heart.
Cleansing everything on its way;
From dust in air to those in my soul.

Its striking green, everywhere;
As if the angel of prosper has descended.
Growing the golden grains everywhere;
In the fields & in my heart.

Streams are flowing with a glitter;
To join the ever widening river.
Sinking the heavy stones & elevating the waves of joy;
In its flow & in my thoughts.

Rainbow springs up in the sky;
To have a glimpse of shower from the heaven.
Scattering cheerful & joyful colours;
In the sky & in my mind.

Soil chilled by the cold breeze &;
Drowned by the eternal downpour;
Spreads the mesmerizing aroma;
In the beautiful garden of my life.

Is There Ethics In Politics?

The fourteenth Lok Sabha came to an end recently and its election time in India now. Its also the time when many people get to make money. No I am not talking about that today I would like to write about the mp’s whom we elected the last term.

Honorable speaker of lok sabha Somanth Chatarjee initiated a nation wide debate by questioning the dedication and sincerity of our MP’s. The Indian media as always was waiting on their toe’s to someone making controversial statements. The stats of our legislatures were flashed all over the media. That itself is enough to cause embarrassment to any Indian citizen. Initially we had 10 of our Mp’s being dismissed for taking money for raising question in the house!! DISGUSTING… then 5 other members were suspended because the money given to them for the welfare of people was used by them for their own interest!!!...One can guess only these 5 unlucky guys got caught up ,others didn’t… then there was hell lot of money being spilled all over the floor of the house in ‘money for vote scandal’ !! later the case was investigated and no one was held responsible!!(yes you are free to make your guesses)..

Members like Darmendra and our own mandya’s boy Ambreesh didn’t even attend a single session of the house! Don’t think one who has attented all of those is a noble person. U R Anthulle has 99% attendence! And he embarrassed the Indian government by saying the terrorist Kasav is from India! Not that this is a new found habit of our beloved leaders. They have history of indecent acts to their name. In Tamil Nadu Jayalalitha was molested in the house itself!! Havn’t we seen footwear’s and stones being hurled at the speaker. All these things happens because half of the people sitting there are criminals, so now its in your hand to send a better person to represent you and your constituency.

It cant get worse than this ,lets hope from next term they would stop behaving like animals and start thinking about the development of the country. Is it a too much of a ask from them??
